Hello welcome to my website this site has been evolving over the past few years and hopefully is now at its final stage of development, more will be added as and when I can find time.

I moved to South West Scotland from Doncaster in South Yorkshire in 1995 with my wife Maggie. I have always had an interest in radio and decided to try for my Ham licence after we had settled in our new home. I eventually found the Wigtownshire Amaterur Radio Club in Stranraer which is about 60 miles away thus involving a 120 mile round trip. I was made very welcome by the members and eventually took the RAE exam and passed, I have been licenced since January 1997 and have continued to support the club over the years. After much pestering from me Maggie took the Foundation Licence exam in late 2006 and passed, she is now MM3PBQ. The picture is a distant view of our farm cottage near the village of Crocketford with lots of room for aerials. The area is great for walking and cycling and within easy access to the coast. If you activate this link you can see more pictures of our home, Crocketford Village and the surrounding area.
